Bermuda weather in June brings some of the warmest weather of the year. But summer also brings more rain to this western Atlantic island.

Although Bermuda is in the western Atlantic and not the Caribbean Sea, it is a common stop for cruise ships from the east coast of the United States that travel south to the Caribbean. It also is popular with short-term cruises that go only to Bermuda.

June is the first of four months in a row when daytime temperatures reach into the 80s Fahrenheit or high 20s Celsius. But it also is the start of the island’s rainy season.

Bermuda Temperatures in June

The average daytime temperature in Bermuda in June is 81 degrees Fahrenheit or 27 Celsius, the Bermuda Weather Service reports. The average nighttime temperature is 73 degrees Fahrenheit or 23 Celsius.

Bermuda’s average water temperature in June averages 77 degrees Fahrenheit or 25 Celsius, which is warm enough for comfortable swimming. Water temperatures usually stay about midway between the high and low air temperatures.

By comparison, daytime temperatures drop into the high 60s Fahrenheit or about 20 Celsius during the winter. In May, the average is 75 degrees Fahrenheit or 24 Celsius.

Rainfall in June

Although temperatures jump from May to June, so does the rain. May historically has the lowest risk of rain. June has a much higher risk.

The average rainfall for Bermuda in June is five inches, according to the Bermuda Weather Service. This compares to an average low of three inches in May and a high of more than six inches in September.

It rains on average about 12 days during June, according to the Bermuda Weather Service. By comparison, the low point is 10 days in May and the high point is 17 days in December and January.

Bermuda weather in June is one of the best times to visit the island for people who want to spend time on its famous beaches. But they also should expect the possibility of more rain.
