Bermuda’s average weather means warmer months with more rain and cooler months with less rain.

The island east of North Carolina is not a part of the Caribbean, but it is like most Caribbean islands except for the weather.

Visitors will find famous pink sand beaches, plenty of golf courses and British colonial history. But it is not the most popular island along the North American coasts for getting a suntan.

The rainy season goes from June through October, which is exactly the months when the island has the warmest temperatures.

The island receives a steady amount of rainfall and rain days throughout the year, but it peaks in October during the hurricane season.

Rainfall averages less than four inches in April and May, exceeds five inches in January, June, August and September, and surpasses six inches in October.

The number of days it rains each month reaches a high point during the winter months of December and January.

The low point for rain days is May, which also is the low point for total number of inches. May has the best month to visit the island for a combination of warm temperatures and low risk of rain.

April and June also are good months to visit for the same reason. Bermuda climate delivers the best results from April through June and the worst results from August through January.
