Grand Cayman weather in February is often breezy, balmy and packed with sunshine.

February is in the middle of the island’s dry season, which runs from December through May. The threat of hurricanes is virtually nonexistent, and rainfall is at its yearly low.

Grand Cayman is south of Cuba, east of Belize and north of the equator in the heart of the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the most popular ports of call for western Caribbean cruises. It’s also one of the warmest.

The Cayman Islands are a popular place to visit between December and May because the weather is known for being so nice.

Temperatures in February

Grand Cayman temperatures in February have an average high of 86 degrees Fahrenheit or 30 Celsius, according to the Cayman Islands National Weather Service. The average low is 65 degrees Fahrenheit or 18 Celsius.

The seawater temperature is usually warm in February, averaging at 79 degrees Fahrenheit or 26 Celsius during the day. It feels comfortable most of the time. But cool nighttime temperatures may make the seawater chilly in the mornings.

Rainfall in February

During February, Grand Cayman averages less than two inches of rain, according to the Cayman Islands National Weather Service.

It rains 10 days on average during the month.

This rainfall usually occurs in the form of short, tropical showers that are only a few minutes in duration.

Cayman Islands weather has two seasons throughout the year. The dry season runs from December to May, and the rainy season runs from June to November.

The islands are most likely to have a hurricane pass through the vicinity during the rainy season from June to November.

Yearly, the Cayman Islands receive on average 57 inches of rainfall. During the rainy season from June to November, the Cayman Islands average 45 inches of rainfall.

During the entire length of the dry season from December to May, the Cayman Islands average only 12 inches of total rainfall.

Wind Levels

The wind levels are sometimes high and dangerous during the rainy season.

During the dry season, winds drop to a constant, refreshing breeze that are felt throughout the island.

The breeze is mild, gentle and noticed only in the pleasant way that it makes the temperatures more comfortable.
