Belize weather in November often has heavy downpours of rain in this rainy Central American country.
Belize City is a popular cruise port on the Caribbean coast of the country, mostly for “exotic” western Caribbean cruises.
Cruise visitors go on many shore excursions to the surrounding countryside to visit Mayan ruins and ecotourism attractions.
The ecotourism attractions are common because the country has quite a bit of rainfall during the year, especially in the fall months such as November.
Average Rainfall
Belize City averages more than seven inches of rain in November, according to the National Meteorological Service of Belize. It’s one of the highest levels of the year, although not as high as September and October.
Rain is especially heavy in November because it is the final month of the Caribbean hurricane season. Historically, the Caribbean averages only a few tropical storms during the month, but rainfall in general is more common.
Hurricanes and tropical storms usually don’t hit Belize directly. Instead, some of them pass near the country and bring more rain.
November’s high rainfall compares to a low point of two inches in February and March during the country’s brief dry season. That dry season lasts until April. The long rainy season goes from May through January.

Belize City temperatures in November have an average high of 84 degrees Fahrenheit or 29 Celsius, according to the National Meteorological Service of Belize. The average low is 70 degrees Fahrenheit or 21 Celsius. The highs are usually during the day and the lows at night.
These temperatures are only a few degrees cooler than June through September, which are the highest of the year. By comparison, the coldest month of the year is January with an average high of 82 degrees Fahrenheit or 28 Celsius.
November is one of the rainiest times of the year to visit Belize. Travelers will find that the best times to visit Belize are February and March because they are part of the dry season. April, which has slightly more rain than February and March, is another good choice, especially because of warming temperatures.
