Belize weather in March historically has dry weather that makes the month one of the best times to visit.
Belize City is a port of call on “exotic” western Caribbean cruises. The city itself is not the main attraction. Instead, excursions to the countryside are popular.
It is because of heavy rains during much of the year that ecotourism attractions such as rainforest hikes are popular. Mayan ruins also are popular attractions.
The country gets plenty of rain each month from June through December during the rainy season. But March is part of the dry season.
Belize Temperatures in March
Belize temperatures in March have an average high of 85 degrees Fahrenheit or 29 Celsius, according to the National Meteorological Service of Belize. These highs usually take place during the day.
The average low is 71 degrees Fahrenheit or 22 Celsius. Lows mostly take place during the night.
March temperatures are just about average compared to the rest of the year. But nighttime temperatures are cool enough to make swimming chilly at times at Belize beaches, although the country isn’t known for great beaches.
By comparison, temperatures often reach the upper 80s Fahrenheit or about 30 Celsius from June through September. They aren’t good months for travelers to visit the country because of the high risk of rain.

March is the second month of a short dry season that goes from February through May.
By comparison, June, July, September and October average more than 10 inches of rainfall a month in Belize. That total is higher than most Caribbean destinations during those months except for Cancun and Cozumel, which have similar high rainfalls.
The Belize rainy season is longer than most destinations in the Caribbean because it goes from June through December and somewhat into January.
March is one of the best months of the year to visit Belize. April is even better when the risk of rain is lowest and temperatures are higher.
