Belize weather in July is part of an intense rainy season when downpours are common and heavy.

This Central American country has a common port of call for western Caribbean cruises at Belize City. The countryside around Belize City is known for Mayan ruins and ecotourism attractions such as rainforest hikes. Rainforests are widespread because of the country’s long and heavy rainy season that begins in June.

Belize weather in July is hot, humid and rainy.

Belize Temperatures in July

Belize temperatures in July have an average high of 88 degrees Fahrenheit or 31 Celsius, according to the National Meteorological Service of Belize. The average low is 76 degrees Fahrenheit or 24 Celsius.

High temperatures mostly take place during the day. Low temperatures usually occur at night.

July temperatures are about equal to the highest temperatures of the year, which go from May through September.

By comparison, daytime temperatures hover in the low 80s Fahrenheit or mid 20s Celsius during the winter.

Belize Rainy Season

Belize City averages nearly 10 inches of rain in July, which is a big jump from four inches in May. This rainfall average is much higher than most other Caribbean destinations during July.

On average, it rains 16 days during the month. Historically, it rains only four days in April, which is the low point of the year.

July is part of a long rainy season that goes from June through January. Rainfall ranges from five to 11 inches a month.

Belize weather in July is not the best weather for visits from cruise ships and hotel travelers. April and May are better months to visit Belize than July.
