St. Lucia’s weather in June has an increasing risk of rain thanks to the annual Caribbean hurricane season.

St. Lucia is a popular island to visit for its hotels and resorts. It’s also a common stop on eastern Caribbean cruises.

The island is especially popular during the dry season from January through May. It’s popularity drops off during the rainy season, which begins in June and gets steadily worse until September and October.

The following averages come from years of data and may vary somewhat from year to year. But they are a useful guide for what to expect with St. Lucia in June.

St. Lucia Temperatures in June

The average high temperature for St. Lucia in June is 87 degrees Fahrenheit or nearly 31 Celsius, according to St. Lucia Meteorological Services. The average nighttime temperature is 77 degrees Fahrenheit or 25 Celsius.

St. Lucia temperatures in June historically reach the highest level of the year. The average daytime temperature stays at 87 degrees Fahrenheit from June through October.

Water temperatures hover about midway between the daytime highs and nighttime lows.

The total average rainfall in June is about four inches, according to the St. Lucia Meteorological Service.

This compares to just less than three inches in May, a low of less than two inches in January and a high point of nearly eight inches in September and October.

It rains on average 16 days in June compared to 14 days in May. This compares to a low of 11 days in January and a high of 21 days in July and August.

Should I Go in June?

St. Lucia weather in June historically is not any warmer in June than it is in May. But the risk of total rain and how often it rains is higher in June.

So May is a better month than June for anyone planning to visit the island via hotel or cruise. But June also has a lower risk of rain than July or August. So anyone planning a summer visit to the Caribbean because of breaks from school should consider June as a better choice than July or August.
