Curaçao weather in September is the hottest of the year. Rainfall is mild.

The island is in the southern Caribbean, so weather is usually hotter than most other islands because it is closer to the equator. But September is warmer than usual.

What is unusual is the low amount of rain for Curaçao during the month. September is the worst month of the annual Caribbean hurricane season for most Caribbean destinations. Not Curaçao. The risk of rain is low.

Curaçao Temperatures in September

Curaçao’s average daytime temperature in September is 91 degrees Fahrenheit or nearly 33 Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department (of) Curaçao. The average nighttime temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit or 26 Celsius.

By comparison, the average daytime temperature is 86 degrees Fahrenheit or 30 Celsius in January, the month with the lowest temperature of the year. So Curaçao stays warm year-round.

Whether to Go in September

Curaçao weather in September offers warm temperatures and a low risk of rain. But September also is part of the Caribbean hurricane season. A hurricane or tropical storm passing near Curaçao is unlikely but possible.

Anyone who wants to take a Caribbean vacation in September should seriously consider Curaçao. But there is a growing risk of rain, so going earlier in the year may offer better weather.
