Curaçao weather in March has some of the clearest skies and warmest temperatures in the Caribbean.

It’s the driest month of the year for this Caribbean island near Aruba and the Venezuela coast.

The ABC islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are known for dry weather because they lie outside of the worst areas during the Caribbean hurricane season.

Temperatures in March

The average high temperature in Curaçao in March is nearly 87 degrees Fahrenheit or about 30 Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department (of) Curaçao. Average highs usually take place mid-afternoon.

The average low temperature is nearly 77 degrees Fahrenheit or about 25 Celsius. Average lows usually occur at night.

The average water temperature is 79 degrees Fahrenheit or 26 Celcius. Although that average is warm enough for swimming, it is no guarantee the water will be comfortable during a particular week.

By comparison, the coldest month of the year is January with an average high of 85 degrees Fahrenheit or 29 Celsius. The hottest month usually is September at 91 degrees Fahrenheit, but September is the most active month of the Caribbean hurricane season. Unlike most of the Caribbean, Curaçao usually sees only a modest increase in rain during that time.

Although averages help with vacation planning, the actual numbers may vary somewhat from year to year.

Rainfall in March

The risk of rain in March is lower than any time during the year. The average rainfall for Curaçao in March is 0.6 inches, according to Meteorological Department (of) Curaçao.

Curaçao has a dry season that goes from January through September with each month historically averaging less than two inches.

By comparison, the rainy season goes from October through December. It has about three to four inches of rain during a typical month.
