Barbados weather in November historically has a high risk of rain, and it’s also high compared to many other Caribbean destinations.

Barbados is a popular cruise port in the eastern Caribbean. Like most Caribbean islands, it is known for warm weather and white sand beaches.

September and October are the least popular times to visit Barbados as well as the rest of the Caribbean, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organization. They are the most active months of the Caribbean hurricane season, which goes from June through November. November is less risky than September and October for most of the Caribbean except Barbados.

Barbados Temperatures in November

Barbados temperatures in November have an average high of 85 degrees Fahrenheit or 29 Celsius, according to the Barbados Meteorological Services. The average low is 76 degrees Fahrenheit or 25 Celsius.

These temperatures are nearly as high as May through September, which are the warmest months of the year.

By comparison, January has the lowest temperatures of the year at 83 degrees Celsius or 23 Celsius. Temperatures vary little from month to month.

Water temperatures in November will feel comfortable during the day. They hover between the daytime highs and nighttime lows.

November is the last official month of the Caribbean hurricane season. Rainfall is much higher than normal than the dry season, which goes from January through April.

For most Caribbean destinations, rainfall is highest in September. For Barbados, the highest is in October, but November has only slightly less. The average rainfall for Barbados in November is more than six inches, according to the Barbados Meteorological Services. It is high compared to most other Caribbean destinations during the month.

In contrast, Barbados rainfall is usually lowest in February and March with an average of less than two inches. January and April also are dry months and average a little more than two inches. These months are popular times to visit Barbados because the risk of rain is low. April has the best combination of warm temperatures and low risk of rain.

Higher than normal rainfall makes November one of the riskiest months of the year to visit Barbados. Travel planners should consider visiting the island during other months, such as December through June.
