Barbados weather in June has the same warm temperatures as May but a slightly higher risk of rain.

Barbados is a popular island in the eastern Caribbean. It usually attracts about as many cruise visitors as hotel visitors, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organization. Some of the most popular times to visit are during the dry season from December through May.

June is a transition month between the dry season and rainy season, even though June is the official start of the Caribbean hurricane season. Still, Barbados in June has a modest risk of rain compared to the remaining summer and fall months.

Barbados Temperatures in June

Barbados temperatures in June have an average high of 86 degrees Fahrenheit or 30 Celsius, according to the Barbados Meteorological Services. The average low is 77 degrees Fahrenheit or 26 Celsius. The low usually takes place at night.

June temperatures are about three degrees warmer than January and February, which are the coolest months of the year.

Water temperatures hover about midway between the daytime highs and nighttime lows. They normally feel comfortable for anyone who swims in June.

By comparison, daytime temperatures drop into the low 80s Fahrenheit or mid 20s Celsius during the winter.

Rainfall in June

February and March historically have the lowest rainfall of the year for Barbados with an average of about two inches a month. June in Barbados is slightly wetter with rainfall averaging a little more than three inches.

By comparison, rainfall historically averages nearly seven inches in October. It is the highest point of the year for rain.

June is one of the better months to visit Barbados because of warm temperatures and low risk of rain. But May has the same temperatures and a lower risk of rain, so it is a better month to visit.

It’s also worth noting that June is the official start of the Caribbean hurricane season. But the risk of a tropical storm or hurricane hitting Barbados directly or even passing nearby during the month is very low.

Still, if anyone wants to visit Barbados in the summer because of break from school, June is a good choice because it has a lower risk of rain than July or especially August.
