St. Maarten weather in July has an average high temperature of 88 degrees Fahrenheit and average rainfall of three inches. July is one of the better months to visit the island for warm weather and low risk of rain.

But it’s not quite the best month for St. Maarten weather because July is during the annual Caribbean hurricane season. Even though the island historically has a low risk of rain, the odds are higher of more severe rain if a tropical storm or hurricane passes through the area.

The weather for visitors is usually better for rain in March and especially April.

St. Maarten is a popular cruise and resort destination in the eastern Caribbean. It is one of the smallest islands in the world shared by two countries—France and Holland.

Air temperatures during the month reach their highest point of the year in June along with July and August. The average high temperature is 89 degrees Fahrenheit or 31 Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department of St. Maarten. The average low temperature is 79 Fahrenheit or 26 Celsius.

This compares to an average high of 83 in January and 84 in February and an average low of 74 in January through March. The average highs usually take place during the day and the lows at night.

St. Maarten’s water temperature in July will feel comfortable to balmy throughout the day.

Rainfall in July

The average rainfall in July is about three inches, according to the Meteorological Department of St. Maarten.

This compares to a low point of two inches in February, March and June and a high point of six inches in November.
