Is August a Good Month to Go?
August is not one of the better months to visit Cancun because of high temperatures and the growing risk of rain later in the month.
Vacation planners would be better off choosing July as a time to go, especially If summer is an appealing time to travel because of break from schools.
The average rainfall in July is about two inches over a 30-year period. But temperatures are still hot with an average only slightly lower than August.
June also is a hot month, but it averages five inches of rain.
Otherwise, consider March or April as a good time to go. Temperatures are milder and the risk of rain is much lower.
