Brilliance of the Seas from Royal Caribbean is a Radiance-class ship with a nine-story atrium, elevators facing the sea and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the ship.

The ship is nearly 1,000 feet long and has a cruising speed of 25 knots.

It has amenities common to Royal Caribbean ships. They include three pools, three whirlpools, fitness center, outdoor movie screen, Wi-Fi throughout the ship and flat-screen TVs in the staterooms.

Recreational features include a rock-climbing wall, mini golf course, basketball court, jogging track and video game arcade.

Passengers will find that entertainment options range from a three-story main stage theater to a casino with 195 slots and 12 tables.

Drinkers will find a new English-style pub as well as Royal Caribbean’s first wine bar at sea.

Besides the usual main dining restaurant, Brilliance of the Seas has a specialty steakhouse, specialty coffee house, Italian restaurant, Asian-fusion cuisine and Mexican cantina.

Families will have programs available for each age group. The ship has a disco and lounge for teens. Children from ages three to 11 can attend parties and educational classes. The ship also has classes and a nursery for babies and toddlers.

Staterooms

Brilliance of the Seas has four stateroom categories ranging from lowest price to highest price. They are Interior, Ocean View, Balcony and Suite / Deluxe.

The Interior staterooms have two twin beds that can convert into a king-size bed. They also have a sitting area, vanity area and private bathroom. The total space is 165 square feet.

The Large Ocean View staterooms have 164 square feet—about the same size as the standard Interior. They also have the same features: sitting area, vanity area and private bathroom. But they also have a window view of the ocean.

The Family Ocean View stateroom has 265 square feet of space and enough room for six people. Besides two twin beds that can convert into a king, the stateroom has bunk beds and either a pullout sofa or pullman beds.

Brilliance of the Seas has two options for “Balcony Staterooms”. They are the Deluxe Ocean View and Superior Ocean View. The Deluxe with two twin beds is about the same size as the standard Interior and Large Ocean View at 167 square feet. The balcony has 43 square feet. The Superior Ocean View also has room for two guests and has the same sized balcony as the Large, but its living space is 194 square feet.

Large space is available for large budgets with the Suites / Deluxe category. At the low end of the price scale, the Junior Suite has two twin beds, 299 square feet of living space and 66 square feet of balcony. At the high end, the Royal Suite has a king bed, whirlpool bathtub, baby grand piano, concierge service, 951 square feet of living space and 283 square feet of balcony.
