Dominican Republic Weather in July: Rain, Temperatures

Dominican Republic weather in July is nearly the same in both Punta Cana and Puerto Plata. It’s unusual because they usually have different weather patterns most other months of the year.
Puerto Plata is a major resort destination on the northern coast of Dominican Republic. It is right next to the Amber Cove cruise port. Punta Cana, another resort destination, is on the eastern tip of the island.
Punta Cana Weather in July
Punta Cana temperatures in July have an average daytime high of 87 degrees Fahrenheit or 30 Celsius, according to the Dominican Republic National Office of Meteorology. The average nighttime low temperature is 76 Fahrenheit or 25 Celsius.
Punta Cana historically has about three inches of rain in July. This level is lower than May and June and similar to the dry season of January through April.
But it rains more often in July. The average is nine days compared to about seven days each from January through April. That’s still low compared to some Caribbean destinations.
July is usually a good time to visit Punta Cana for anyone who wants a summer vacation in the Caribbean.

Puerto Plata temperatures in July have an average daytime high of 90 degrees Fahrenheit or 32 Celsius. The average nighttime temperature is 69 Fahrenheit or 21 Celsius.
July is the start of the dry season for Puerto Plata. Historically, it has less than three inches of rain during the month, the national office of meteorology says, which is similar to Punta Cana. It rains on average about eight days in July compared to nine days in Punta Cana.

Dominican Republic weather in July offers one of the better months for anyone who wants to visit Punta Cana, Puerto Plata or the Amber Cove cruise port.
