On May 25th of 2004 Moroccan Restaurateur Toufiq Lahlou created an authentic Moroccan restaurant in the heart of French Saint Martin. Le Marrakech, set in an early 1900 Creole House, is one of Saint Martin's historic homes. Now newly renovated based on the design of a famous Moroccan architect, it gives the experience of being in Moroccan North Africa. The specialties are Kebabs, Couscous, Tajines, Pastillas, hand made Pastries, mint tea, and a large selection of Moroccan Spirits. The signature dish is Tajine Stew" Lamb with Prunes Honey Ginger sauce and Caramelized Almonds with Cinnamon.
