Anguilla has an above average risk of rain in August when the average rainfall is about four inches. The low point of the year is less than two inches from January through April. The high point is six inches in October, according to the St. Maarten meteorological service.

Although an average of four inches of rain isn’t the highest of the year, August has a higher risk than June and July which average two to three inches. Travel planners who want to go to the island during the summer may want to visit in June or early July rather than August to avoid the growing risk of rain.

The above numbers are historical averages, but they are a useful guide for predicting the possibility of good or bad weather.
