Aruba Weather in November: Rain, Temperatures

Aruba weather in November is much like the island’s weather in September and October—wet by Aruba standards and dry compared to the rest of the Caribbean.

This popular destination off the coast of Venezuela claims to have the highest return visits of any destination in the region. It has low annual rainfall, consistent warmth, great beaches and plenty of things to do.

Most Caribbean destinations are unpopular during the fall months. They are the peak times of the Caribbean hurricane season, which goes from June through November. It often means more rain even for islands that aren’t near a hurricane or tropical storm.

Aruba does see quite a drop in tourism from September through November, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organization. It receives more rain during that period and tourists avoid the Caribbean for fear of facing bad weather.

The following statistics are based on a 30-year history of Aruba’s weather from the Meteorological Department of Aruba.

November Rainfall

Aruba is the most arid island in the Caribbean with a monthly rainfall averaging only about one inch from December through August.

But rainfall historically averages three inches in November. For this reason, November is not the best time to go to Aruba. The total is three times higher than most of the year but still quite low compared to other destinations in the fall.

It averages less than 10 days of rain during the month. Again, it’s high for Aruba and low compared to everywhere else.

Average cloud cover is 47 percent, which is only slightly above the norm for the year.

Aruba is not only one of the most arid islands in the Caribbean. It also is one of the warmest because of its southern location.

Even in November, the start of winter for the northern hemisphere, temperatures are usually hot. The average daily high temperature in Aruba during November is 90 degrees Fahrenheit or 32 Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department of Aruba.

Temperatures don’t start to drop until December, and then they don’t drop very far.

The average low temperature in November is 78 degrees or nearly 26 Celsius. Seawater temperature is quite comfortable at an average of 83 degrees Fahrenheit.

Whether to Go

Trying to predict the weather more than a few days in advance of course is impossible. For Aruba in November, one can only go with past history.

Anyone who wants to visit the Caribbean in November should consider Aruba as one of the top choices because the island’s weather history shows that it is likely to have some of the lowest rainfall in the region.

December is a better month to go for weather because rain drops off quite a bit. But the island also sees a spike in tourism that month, which leads to higher prices for hotels and resorts.
