Costa Rica weather in September is mildly rainy on the Caribbean coast and very rainy on the Pacific coast.

Costa Rica has two major cruise ports on either side of the country. Limon serves western Caribbean cruises and Puntarenas receives Pacific coast cruises.

The country is popular with cruise and hotel visitors because of the many ecotourism experiences along with Mayan ruins and other attractions.

It is especially known for rainforests that offer zip lining and hiking. But those rainforests come as a result of heavy rains during most of the year.
