Royal Caribbean International is rolling out what it calls the farthest reaching cruise in the world.
The “Ultimate World Cruise” lasts 274 nights and reaches all seven continents, 150 destinations, 65 countries and 11 great wonders of the world.
The cruise takes place on the ship Serenade of the Seas. It departs from Miami on Dec. 10, 2023 and continues through Sept. 10, 2024.
Bookings are now available. Passengers can choose the entire trip or one of four “expeditions”.
The cruise includes 57 destinations that Royal Caribbean has never visited before and that are exclusive to this trip. They include Casablanca, Morocco; Qaqortoq, Greenland; and Shimizu, Japan.
The four expeditions are in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
Dates: Dec. 10, 2023 - Feb. 11, 2024
Itinerary: Three continents, 36 destinations, four wonders
The cruise begins in Miami and travels to Caribbean destinations such as Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao before going to Antarctica and around Cape Horn.
The four wonders include Chichen Itza in Cozumel, Mexico; Christ the Redeemer, in Rio de Janeiro; Iguazu Falls near Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Machu Picchu in Peru.
Dates: Feb. 11 - May 9, 2024
Itinerary: Three continents, 40 destinations, three wonders
The cruise will travel throughout the Hawaiian Islands before sailing south to Moorea and Tahiti, French Polynesia. It continues on to New Zealand and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Next is Bali, Indonesia, followed by the Great Wall of China and India’s Taj Mahal, and destinations in southeast Asia from Vietnam to Malaysia. The expedition ends with Tokyo, Osaka and the tropical beaches of Okinawa.
Dates: May 9 - July 10, 2024
Itinerary: Three continents, 44 destinations, four wonders
This expedition begins in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and continues to Jordan’s lost city of Petra, the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, Temple of Artemis in Ephesus, Turkey, and the Colosseum in Rome.
Other destinations include Greece’s Olympia; Split, Croatia; and Cannes and Provence in France.
Dates: July 10 - Sept. 10, 2024
Itinerary: Three continents, 40 destinations
The final expedition begins in the Mediterranean, visits Barcelona and travels north to destinations including St. Petersburg, Russia, and the fjords of Norway. Other destinations include Iceland and New York on their way back to Miami.
