Cabo San Lucas Tourist Attractions

Cabo San Lucas tourist attractions offer a wide range of things to do for cruise and overnight visitors alike.

This major cruise port on the Mexican Riviera is a town on the tip of the Baja Peninsula in the Los Cabos municipality. The municipality also has the town of San Jose del Cabo. Cabo has the majority of attractions.

Prices and services depend on the attraction and the tour company. Cruise visitors can arrange an excursion on the ship or separately with the operator.

1) The Marina

All of the action with Cabo San Lucas attractions begins at the Cabo marina because it is where cruise ships disembark their passengers. It also is a huge development of restaurants, shops and accommodations that attract hotel visitors as well.

2) The Arch

Other than the massive arena, the Arch at Cabo San Lucas is probably the most famous attraction at Cabo. It draws many pleasure and excursion boats throughout the day. The Arch at the tip of the Land’s End peninsula is a giant granite formation in the shape of an arch (hence the name). Tourists can take a brief and inexpensive boat ride from the marina to reach it.

3) Medano Beach

Medano Beach is a major beach near the cruise port and one of the most popular Cabo San Lucas tourist attractions. Cruise visitors can see the beach from their ships by looking to the right of the marina.

Passengers reach Medano by tendering from their cruise ships to the docks and then taking a water taxi to the beach. We paid $5 per person to go one way. There were plenty of water taxis waiting at Medano to take people back to the docks.

4) Distrito del Arte, San José del Cabo

This is a beautiful art district in the city of San Jose del Cabo. It is behind the main square and church, quietly removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. From year to year, it continues to grow and exhibit a wide array of art.

5) Sierra Buggies

Guides will take groups on a scenic trip with dune buggies while teaching them about the nature of the local area. During the ride there will be a stop for a nature walk, a swim in a refreshing lagoon and time out for lunch.

7) Cabo Real Golf Course

This course on the main highway at kilometer 19.5 has nice scenery with ocean views at every hole. It also has a driving range.

8) Cabo Dolphins

Visitors will be able to interact with these majestic animals including touching and riding the dolphins. Prices start at more than $100 per person and vary depending on the program.
