Jamaica Weather in July: Rain, Temperatures

Jamaica’s weather in July has temperatures in the high 80s to low 90s Fahrenheit. Rainfall is below average compared to other months of the year.
Montego Bay on the northwest coast and Kingston on the southern coast are the two major cities on the island. Montego Bay is both a cruise port and a major all-inclusive resort destination. Kingston is the capital of the country.
Kingston is usually several degrees warmer and slightly less rainy than Montego Bay. But in July, rainfall is similar in both cities and near the lowest point of the year. Temperatures are slightly higher in Kingston.
Montego Bay Weather in July
Montego Bay in July has average high temperatures of 88 degrees Fahrenheit or 31 Celsius. The average low is 74 Fahrenheit or 23 Celsius.
July temperatures reach the highest point of the year along with August and September. By comparison, daytime temperatures drop into the low 80s Fahrenheit in January.

In July, it rains on average seven days during the month. This is again near the bottom of the range between the best and worst months of the year. Those averages are a low point of five days in March and a high point of 13 days in October.
Kingston Weather in July
Weather in July for Kingston is hotter but historically has about the same amount of rain.
Average high temperatures reach 91 degrees Fahrenheit or 33 Celsius during the day. Nighttime temperatures have an average of 76 degrees Fahrenheit or 24 Celsius.
Like Montego Bay, these temperatures are near the high point between the highs and lows of the year. Temperatures in Kingston typically are several degrees warmer than Montego Bay.
Rainfall is usually lower in Kingston than Montego Bay. But for July, the average rainfall is likewise about two inches. That compares to a low point of less than one inch from January through March and a high point of seven inches in June. It rains on average six days in Kingston compared to seven in Montego Bay.
