Amber Cove weather in February reaches the coolest point of the year.

February also is part of the dry season and one of the three months of the year with only two inches of rain.

Amber Cove on the northern coast of Dominican Republic near Punta Cana is a private cruise port built and owned by Carnival Cruise Lines. Besides the main Carnival brand, others that visit the port include Cunard, P&O, AIDA, Azura, Costa and Holland America.

It is sometimes a port of call on six-night eastern Caribbean cruises that include San Juan and Grand Turk. It also is a common port of shorter cruises that also visit only Grand Turk.

Amber Cove Temperatures

Daytime temperatures are warm and nighttime temperatures are somewhat cool in February.

Amber Cove temperatures in February have an average high of just under 82 degrees Fahrenheit or about 27 Celsius, according to the Dominican Republic’s National Office of Meteorology.

The average nighttime temperature of 71 Fahrenheit or 22 Celsius is cool enough to make swimming in the ocean a bit chilly at times in the morning. Visitors can hope Carnival heats the large pool and waterslide facility.

Caribbean vacation planners who like swimming in the ocean will find later months are better for a visit to Amber Cove.

Still, 82 degrees Fahrenheit is not far off the average for Amber Cove, which is not known for hot weather any time of the year. Average high temperatures eventually climb to the mid to upper 80s Fahrenheit during the summer.
