The popular Nassau Bahamas has average monthly weather that varies from high 70s Fahrenheit in the winter with low risk of rain to high 80s in the summer with high risk of rain.
The Bahama islands are the most popular tourist destination in the entire Caribbean region largely due to the many cruise ships that visit there.
They also are convenient to U.S. tourists because of the islands' closeness to the Florida coast, U.S. ports and U.S. airports
Eastern Caribbean weather is usually warm year round. But the Bahama islands, which are actually just north of the Caribbean Sea, have cooler weather during the winter months. It makes the night air and ocean swimming uncomfortable at times. During the winter, few people swim at all.
Bahamas Temperatures
Nassau Bahamas has an average monthly daytime temperature of about 84 degrees Fahrenheit and an average monthly nighttime temperature of 69 degrees, according to the Bahamas Department of Meteorology.
The average high reaches its peak of 89 degrees from July through September and bottoms at less than 80 degrees from December through March.
Water temperatures are too cool for swimming most days from November through April. But that same period of time has the lowest rainfall.
Beach lovers will find that the Bahamas are not ideal islands for sand and sun during most of the year compared to other islands in the region.

February through July are more popular because of the lower risk of rain and northerners seeking to escape the winter. But they also face the potential for cool weather.
The ideal weather months are April, May and November. For people who like it warmer, May is the best month of all even though the risk of rain is higher.
