The best time to visit Turks and Caicos is early to late spring for warmer temperatures and lower risk of rain. But late winter and early summer also have their benefits.
Late winter is cooler with low risk of rain. Early summer has better temperatures but higher risk of rain.
The worst time to visit Turks and Caicos is late summer through late fall because of the heavy risk of rain from the annual Caribbean hurricane season.
Turks and Caicos, which consists of the Turks islands and the Caicos islands, is among the northernmost group in the Caribbean. They lie about 465 miles southeast of Nassau Bahamas, which is in the Atlantic and not the Caribbean Sea. Grand Turk is a somewhat popular cruise port.
The island group has more than 1 million cruise visitors and half a million hotel visitors every year, according to the Turks and Caicos government statistics department.
The High Season
Because of its northern location, Turks and Caicos has cooler weather than most of the Caribbean to the south.
The seasons, high as opposed to low, are about price and availability. The high season is mid-December to mid-April and has higher prices due to the increased demand.

Temperatures during the high season average in the high 70s Fahrenheit or mid 20s Celsius. Rainfall averages less than two inches a month.
Vacationers heading to Turks and Caicos during this period should be prepared to fight larger crowds in shopping centers, on beaches and at other public attractions. As such, planning ahead is crucial.
The Low Season
The low season brings warmer temperatures and also more rain. The average high temperatures reach into the mid to high 80s Fahrenheit or high 20s Celsius to nearly 30 Celsius. Average monthly rainfall is about five to seven inches, especially in the fall.
During this period, prices are typically lower than the corresponding high season. Moreover, due to the lower demand, accommodation availability usually increases.
But this comes at a cost. First, certain businesses close during the period. Many hotels and villas do extensive renovation and other works during the low season. No one likes to be caught up in the midst of noisy maintenance work during their vacation.
Hurricane Season

The Turks and Caicos hurricane season is an excellent time to visit as long as hurricanes and tropical storms stay at bay. The season officially lasts from June to November with the most dangerous period being between the end of August and mid-October.
Without the threat of impending hurricanes, this season may prove to be a treat. Normally, there are specials that often offer significant discounts on hotel prices. The period immediately following summer is, however, the rainy season during which there are often an abundance of mosquitoes, heat and humidity.
Other Travel Weather Tips
The best time to visit Turks and Caicos combines the advantages of weather, price and affordability. The period April to May is perfect for the budget traveler who does not mind somewhat milder temperatures.
Like traveling anywhere else, many factors should be considered when planning a trip to Turks and Caicos. Factors such as weather, prices, crowds, availability and events may be major deciding influences for travellers. Take the time out to consider each of these carefully before booking that ticket.
