Bahamas monthly weather has average daytime temperatures in the high 70s Fahrenheit or mid 20s Celsius in the winter and high 80s Fahrenheit or about 30 Celsius in the summer. Risk of rain is low in winter and high in summer.
Bahamas travel weather brings visions of sunshine and warm days, but it’s not true for at least part of the year.
The Bahama islands are the most popular tourist destination in the entire Caribbean region largely due to the many cruise ships that visit there.
Eastern Caribbean weather is usually warm year round. But the Bahama islands, which are actually just north of the Caribbean Sea, have cooler weather during the winter months. It makes the night air and ocean swimming uncomfortable at times. During the winter, few people swim at all.

Throughout the year, Nassau Bahamas has an average monthly daytime temperature of about 84 degrees Fahrenheit or 29 Celsius, according to the Bahamas Department of Meteorology. The average monthly nighttime temperature is 69 degrees Fahrenheit or 21 Celsius.
The average high reaches its peak of 89 degrees Fahrenheit or 32 Celsius from July through September and bottoms at less than 80 degrees Fahrenheit or 27 Celsius from December through March.
Water temperatures are too cool for swimming most days from November through April. But that same period of time has the lowest rainfall.
Beach lovers will find that the Bahamas are not ideal islands for sand and sun during the winter compared to other islands in the Caribbean region. That’s because the islands lie to the north of the Caribbean Sea.

In contrast, December through March average less than two inches of rain per month. Cool weather comes with the lower risk of rain.

February through July are more popular because of the lower risk of rain and northerners seeking to escape the winter. But they also face the potential for cool weather.
The ideal weather months are April, May and November. For people who like it warmer, May is the best month of all even though the risk of rain is higher.
