Following are highlights of some of the best Bermuda hotels and resorts.

Fairmont Hamilton Princess

The Fairmont opened in 1885 and was named for Princess Louise, daughter of England’s Queen Victoria. It is located in Hamilton near restaurants, shops and attractions. The harbor front hotel has amenities such as its fresh and saltwater pools, outdoor putting green and restaurants including Heritage Court. Guests can play golf at Riddell’s Bay Golf and Country Club in addition to The Fairmont Southampton Golf Course, which has eighteen executive par three holes. The hotel has 410 rooms including one Harbour Suite, 33 One Bedroom Suites and two Penthouse Suites.

Grotto Bay Beach Resort

Guests will find 201 rooms and 11 cottages on 21 acres of beachfront property. Amenities include private pink sand beach, freshwater pool, outdoor garden jacuzzi; sail, snorkel, wind surf, dive ancient wrecks, explore the coral reefs or take a boat cruise. Play tennis night or day or work out in the exercise room. The resort is located within five minutes of two golf courses. In addition, the resort offers activities program for children and adults. Dining is available at The Palm Court, The Hibiscus Room and Bayside Bar & Grill.

The Reefs Hotel and Club

Facing west and situated overlooking its own secluded pink sand beach, every guest room, suite and club residence at The Reefs offers ocean views and Atlantic sunsets. Rooms and suites include a private patio to take in the views of the turquoise Atlantic waters. Two- and three-bedroom Club Residences combine luxury with Bermudian style. One- to four-bedroom garden or oceanfront cottages have separate living rooms, furnished bedrooms and private outdoor hot tubs. For dining during the winter months, Ocean Echo and Royston's are open on a rotating basis. Coconuts is a seasonal restaurant open from April through November annually.

Royal Palms Hotel

The Royal Palms Hotel located near Hamilton has a blend of Colonial and Bermudian architecture in a tranquil garden setting with coral-coloured walls, white shutters and a colonial wraparound porch. Guests stay in one of two pink, 19th century manor houses, which are nestled in lush gardens where they may enjoy the sun from lawn chairs or take a dip in the secluded pool. The Royal Palms has 32 non-smoking rooms. Dining is available in the Ascots Restaurant, which features Mediterranean, Bermudian and international cuisine.

Elbow Beach Hotel

This resort has 98 guestrooms and suites ont 50 acres of landscaped gardens. It is located seven minutes from Hamilton and offers amenities such as spa, fitness room, 25-meter pool, Kids' Club and a half mile pink sand beach. Dining options include Lido, Sea Breeze, Mickey's Bistro and Blue Point.
