Because Haiti is mainly a cruise destination to privately held ports, the attractions tend to be nearby, water-based and managed by the cruise lines. Labadee has the Dragon's Breath Flight Line, the longest flight line in the word over water, that allows visitors to go 500 feet up the mountain and zip down on a cable more than 2,600 feet to the beach below at 40-50 miles an hour.

Few tourist opportunities exist in Haiti outside of Labadee because of the country's political instability. Labadee is an exception. The private resort owned by Royal Caribbean is located on the north coast of Haiti. It has a beautiful white beach surrounded by lush mountains, an aqua park for children, parasailing, kayaking, banana boat and shopping in a local village, among other activities. Celebrity and Azamara cruise lines also visit Labadee.
